Raccoon Removal

Raccoons cause a lot of damage if they get into your house. Not only do they require a large opening but also they normally destroy whatever access point they choose to go in. Raccoons urinate and poop inside the structure and carry with them a list of parasites and disease. They are the single largest carrier of rabies in the country. Outside of the house, they can spread disease, cause conflict with domestic pets, turn over garbage cans, wash/ eat in pools/spas and destroy yards/gardens. If a raccoon is in your attic deterring or blocking access is a dangerous proposition. Trapping is by far is the safest and most effective means of removal. Raccoons are nocturnal. There most common features are the black mask on their face and ringed tail. They may look cute but are incredibly strong for their size, usually 20-40 pounds. Mother raccoons have 2-5 young in the spring. Clean-up and odor control are recommended after removal of raccoons.

Squirrel Removal & Squirrel Trapping

Gray, Red, and Flying squirrels are fun to watch but are also a big problem in the area. They are very destructive, forceful, and strong willed. In a matter of minutes they can chew through almost anything but are more often opportunistic. You may experience squirrels tearing up the yard and garden looking for acorns, raiding bird feeders, chewing on your home and breaking into the attic to nest.

Because of their destructive tendencies, we will responsibly relocate nuisance squirrels, while paying attention not to orphan any young, and make repairs and/or perform exclusion to vulnerable areas.

Woodchuck and Groundhog Removal

These large ground dwelling animals can range from 5-15lbs. They are strictly vegetarians. They are amazing diggers and create large intricate dens. Trying to block or fence them usually does not work since they will just re-dig or climb. Humane relocation is the only effective solution. Each spring the mother gives birth to 4-6 young. Groundhogs hibernate from mid November to mid-march. Trapping begins early May and runs through October as these are the most active times for groundhogs (same as woodchuck) and increases your likelihood for successful removal.

Skunk Removal

Houses breathe and when a skunk has a confrontation with another animal, they spray. This mustard like liquid absorbs into the foundation so strongly you can taste it. The scent passes through the air ducts and fills the house. The scent will clear in a couple of days. Just open all the windows and pray for rain.

Skunks are nocturnal and will feed on almost anything, including worms, grubs, fruit, veggies, seeds, garbage, pet food… Skunks can create many problems for the homeowner like smell, burrows, lawn damage, dumped garbage cans, and rabies. Mothers have 2-5 pups in the spring.

We Carefully Remove Animals

Trapping your invader isn’t always an easy task, but these photos demonstrate the measures taken to safely approach and remove your house guest.

In some situations, animals can be persuaded to leave the premises simply by habitat modification or simple exclusion. In other situations, the animals will be have to be forcibly removed or trapped but then can be released unharmed, either on the premises or to a more suitable habitat. An example of an animal released on the premises would be an owl in the chimney and an example of trapping and relocation would be squirrels living in the attic or opossums in the crawl space. Once the animal is removed, the area of entry will be secured.
